| Hello OC & V,
I'm thinking that the framework and timelines should be here.
I thought I could create a list of Forums to join so one could present the idea to the various groups' members. That way a particular Forum isn't contacted two or three times. Some members also belong to several different Forums so the plan could be carried by those individuals as posts but the preliminary notifications should be soon. I will list Forums to inform next post and maybe we can divide them up or, if not, I'll take the job. Adding to the list will be for anyone who cares to.

| I think a short mission statement is in order with a catchy slogan. .....? Time of the event. Are we going to use the whole day or 9PM GMT? we have to have something more I think. | |

| OK, a bit of explanation now that this has it's own thread.
The idea is simple ... I have HAD IT with the counter arguments that squash the idea that ET is here. I have looked at this subject since the 1950s when I was a kid, and finished the "homework" assignment that was laid out for me over 37 years by them. All during this time - NOTHING has changed as far as people go looking for answers to the ET question.
"I saw something." "No you didn't."
"I have proof." "No you don't." "But the lab said ..." "My lab says your lab is wrong."
"Obama is going to disclose the truth."
I think - enough is enough. What I propose is a bypass of all the rhetoric, and we go straight to the horses mouth for answers. A global, peaceful asking of ET between now and the date selected, to come en mass on a particular day this year. We look up, and see if they will come. We are not looking for a landing; I'm not trying to create mass hysteria and heart attacks. Just that we go outside on a particular day and time selected, and ask them to come into our sky globally. This will settle this issue once and for all if they come.
The selected date is July 20, 2011. I selected this date because the symbol involved in my work (the Orion Nebula) rises with the sun as viewed from Stonehenge on that day at 5:20 AM. Time zones need to be figured out so everyone is in synch.
At this point if there is feed-back, please leave a message on this board. If this is OK with people, if it sounds like something we should try, let us know. The message needs to get out by July, so we have plenty of time.

| Hello Vortexasylum,
Well, that's just it. There will be those who will go all night and those who won't. I don't think restrictions should apply; the more time spent the better. If someone wanted a guideline of sorts then what makes the the most generous sense is, say, 8-10 pm at whoever's local time zone. Then one wouldn't have to add or subtract time zones or be the one up at 3:30 am. a All one needs to know is go out that evening and shine a light up for an hour or two.
The ones that are worried about being stygmatized or ridiculed can wrap a cardboard tube around the light end and attach it with tape or something. Easy, you know?
But if the Plan is to have everyone available at once, at the same time, it does present some issues. Some will be out at night, some during the day.

The date I created is NOT written in stone, however, the day and night problem will always be there no matter what; the early late time problem will always be there too. In one of my experiences, it was 4 AM by me, and the answer to the question involved with that experience was high noon in the area of the globe that was pertinent. There is no getting around it.

This will only work if folks get the concept and do it.

| Hello Only Child,
When doing any project sometimes the hardest thing is doing the things necessary in the initial stages to get the project moving. Not just in any direction but into the direction one wishes it to go. It's obvious you are frustrated and tired of it all. Most are or have given up the pursuit.
But IMHO looking up and asking for an appearance of ET is not going to sit well with those who have passively done just that very thing. Now group energy could be way differrent is telepathy is real. But I have to say at this time that I get the impression that folks want to be a little more proactive and so they should know that they can choose to broadcast lights if it works for them.
Why, even the ones that don't believe in ET will get out there with a light just to prove ufologists wrong. Debunkers by the scores just to be there when nothing happens. So I say light it up as well. Unless you think The FAA would have an issue. I mean we're only talking flashlights here.

For those in the day, candles and lighters can be used. They have a heat signature and should show up regardless of the ambient light. Just a thought

People can do whatever they choose. All this is, is an attempt to go directly to the source and create the foundation for a meeting, which would be phase two. We have no idea what "they" will do, but we'll never know unless we try. I don't give a damn what naysayers have to say - I got my defining proof back in the mid-60s. I don't care what others "think" -- I know.

| Hello Vortexasylum,
That's the spirit! Good point.
Only Child, I am truly humbled. No joking.Playing devil's advocate is sometimes necessary to work out potential kinks in a plan. We're getting there. Would you two be up for a list of Forums in the near future? I think the list would be good because some of these people may be attending some of the future UfO conferences as well. If we get a list of those too we can work both sides. And like Philip said his mag. is sponsoring some in the UK.

| I think there is one snag in this - and that's the day of the week this falls on. Mid-week might not be a good idea for people working. | |

Well the day has to do with an astronomical picture that's off before and after the 20th. I mean it isn't important, it was just for a picture. maybe we should talk about it.

| Hello Only Chilld
We already have and I feel that if in your gut and experience you think it makes sense then so be it. No day is particularly better than the rest. Look at Earth Day, it happens on the 22nd of April no matter what day it is. So does Christmas. This is pretty big you know and people don't work 24 hour days. The world won't come to a halt. This is why I proposed an evening in someone's local time frame. But you know, even 5,000,000 people out 6 billon would be a positive response.

| (Yawn) ...Only thing I came up with that's new, is the idea that ET would be invading the airspace of a country ... and they might not like it. So, back to square one. | |

| OK ... so far two glitches in this picture are the time and its effect on people, and airspace violation. What if we stay on neutral ground and do the appearance over the free seas? We keep the same date and time, and ask that they appear over the open waters of the world's main oceans. | |
