| UFO MATRIX will be on the newsstand on July 30th. In the UK it will be available in WH Smith and a whole host of independent outlets. In the USA it will be in Barnes & Noble and Borders. It will also be available in a whole host of other countries. You can of course subscribe direct via: www.healingsofatlantis.com.The first few copies have been sent out to contributors, columnists and subscribers before it is available in the high street. As a result the first reactions have been filtering through to our office in the UK: Kevin Goodman: I got my copy today. And, although I write the reviews for the magazine, mere words cannot simply express how bloody well blown away I was when I opened the packet. This magazine is the best quality piece of publishing I have seen in many a long year. Everyone involved should be very, very proud of what has been achieved with this. Long live UFO Matrix! Philip Gardiner: Now I don't believe for one minute that aliens have visited this planet, now or in the past. But that don't mean I don't believe it either, just means I don't "know". I'm alien agnostic. But, I got a new magazine in the post from my mates at Healings of Atlantis. UFO Matrix, and I have to say, WOW, what a brilliant magazine guys, you've shocked me, well done. I will most definitely now give that to somebody interested and tell them to pass it on. See www.ufomatrix.com if you're interested. And, well done on the magazine. It's bloody fantastic. Seriously the best UFO magazine I have ever seen and I've seen them all. And yes, you can quote me. I dare say there will be more to follow when the magazine does go on sale next week and when more of our subscribers overseas receive their copies. Regards, Philip Mantle. Editor. | |

| I was just at B & N and it wasn't on the shelf. I'll stop back next week and see if it shows. Did you have a release date for B & N. I'll wait and get ufo mag and matrix together. |

| It will be released here in the UK on July 30th and all being well in B & N at the same time. It may not yet be in all B & N stores. If it's not just ask and I'm sure they'll be only too happy to get you a copy.

| Amazing magazine! I've only had a chance to flip through it and skim a few articles, but everything looks great.
Right now, I'm reading the article about the pre-1980 Roswell references (by Anthony Bragalia); a subject that my girlfriend and I were very recently pondering. We knew there must have something in print between the press release and the book. Coincidentally, I have one of the publications mentioned in that article - Saga's UFO Report, Winter 1974. Even more coincidentally, the previous owner saw fit to mark brackets in ink around the paragraph mentioned.
Anyway, this magazine looks superb - big, glossy, color - and I certainly look forward to reading the rest of it, particularly the Kenneth Arnold interview (!) and the article by Scott Corrales (one of my favorites).

| Thank you Wilhelm, much appreciated. We still aim to make more improvements and this is something I am working on all the time, but for a first issue all of us at UFO MATRIX are pretty pleased with the outcome.

| I don't get it. Weren't you upset, Mr. Mantle, because you thought Bill was trying to bully you out of using the word "UFO" in the title? And now you're advertising your magazine here? Did you two kiss and make up or is this just really bad form on your part? | |

This is an open forum is it not ? Irrespective of any disagreements surely the forum members have a right to know what ele is on offer ? Am I wrong in this respect ? Any disagreements I may have are not with the members of this forum and I feel it only right and proper that I should let them know about our new magazine. I believe it's called networking in todays modern terms rather than advertising but I dare say they both amount to the same thing. Why not treat yourself to a copy of UFO MATRIX Jeremy, you never know, you might even like it. (is that another advertisement ?) Regards, Philip.

| Just for the record Jeremy, I might have disagreements but I wish UFO MAGAZINE and all connected with it, every success and all the very best for the future. I hope the magazine contunes to grow and go from strength to strength. I've better things to do with my time and don't bear a grudge with anyone. Disagreements I may have but that's life I'm afraid.

Philip. | |

| It's OK to very thinly try to poach UFOM's writers from UFOM's own board, too, eh Jeremy? This is an open forum is it not ? Irrespective of any disagreements surely the writers have a right to know who else may appreciate their talent? Am I wrong in this respect ? Any disagreements? Still waffling I see Alfred. Trying to poach UFO MAGS writers ? I didn't know they were under contract and not allowed to write for anyone else, is that what you are saying ? Our policy is that UFO MATRIX is open to anyone and again in this open forum is there anything wrong with letting people know ? The answer is of course not. I'm glad you finally agree with regards to someone else's bad form, is this not what I've been trying to tell you. By the way Alfred, my offer in the private message I sent you still stands. I'm afraid your statements just don't make any sense to me Alfred. To quote a line from a Monty Python sketch, "I'm afraid I don't understand your banter Gerald." Regards, Philip (the poacher). | |

...And there you have it, eh? One man's cheese is another's rotten milk.
alienview@roadrunner.com > www.AlienView.net >> AVG Blog -- http://alienviewgroup.blogspot.com/ >>> U F O M a g a z i n e -- www.ufomag.com So I take it that you will be informing those that write for UFO MAG that they are not allowed to write for anyone else ? And I thought the USA was the land of the free ? Apparently not, well not in Alfredland it isn't. More cheese Gromit ? Happy waffling old boy. Regards, Philip.

All of a sudden, I've lost my appetite. But I await an entry in the revised edition of the Psychopathia Sexualis.

There's no polite way to put this but from where I live it simply mean 'you're talking bollocks'. I must admit that on this occasion it really does fit the bill where you are concerned old boy. In fact, the phrase could have been invented for you. If they make waffling an olympic sport you're my favorite for the gold medal. Regards, Philip.

| My point is, I wouldn't go to someone's forum and start a fist fight with the owners over my forthcoming magazine only to turn around a few weeks later and gingerly say, "Oh, by the way everybody, my magazine is finished. You should check it out. Peace."
It's just... you know... wrong forum for that. You burned a bridge and now you want to walk on it. That's fine if there were private apologies we don't know about, but I think to the average reader's eye (or maybe just my own) this looks like bad form.
At the risk of belaboring the point, it looked like more than a little disagreement. Didn't you post in several threads to make sure everyone saw what you were writing?

I didn't burn any bridges, the bridge was set alight while I was standing on it. I respect your opinion Jeremy but don't share it. If you want to talk about bad form imagine this. You work for months planning a new mag, the editor of UFO MAG sends you best wishes, and then one morning you check your email and there's an attorney's letter from UFO MAGAZINE INC. How's that for bad soddin form Jeremy. UFO MATRIX is out tomorrow and the attorney can stick the letter where the sun don't shine. I wish all connected to UFO MAG all the very best and yourself and even the old waffler Alfred. Regards, Philip.
