| I just watched a movie "supposedly" based on a true story. Interspaced with the movie were interviews with actual participants in the actual story. I thought at first that the good doctor had been made up to look like a zombie. This seems to be a take over of the persons body by an alien entity, who speaks samarium. This includes people who are lifted into the air and have thier backs broken. As a part of the movie the doctors daughter is kidnaped by the alien, never to be seen again. I horror of what happened is some thing that I had not heard of before. But then I asked myself this question. If there are 1900 reported missing people a year in the U.S.A. and if only 10% are never heard from again. Could this be the reason? During my youth, I had read storys of disappearances, one that came to mind. The man left his home to fetch wood for the fire place. His foot prints vanished in the snow. Yet, his wife and neighbors could here him calling from a distance. Gradually his vice faded away. Did he step into another dimension? So many questions and so few answers. As we progress into the future, I am reminded, that the more we know the less we know.

| Contrary to what The 4th Kind marketing wants you to believe, it is not based on a true story. I suppose you could say all abduction stories are somewhat based on true stories, but the exact case presented in the movie is fiction. | |

| This film has a 17% on Rotten Tomatoes, so I doubt I'll waste my time with it... ...maybe pirated. But, there was something pretty interesting on the wikipedia entry: - Quote :
- On November 12, 2009, Universal Pictures agreed to a $20,000 settlement with the Alaska Press Club "to settle complaints about fake news archives used to promote the movie." Universal acknowledged that they created fake online news articles and obituaries to make it appear that the movie had a basis in real events. It is rumored that the interactive agency Earthbound Media Group, located in Irvine, CA, is responsible for this guerrilla marketing strategy as a third party agency hired by NBC.

| The marketing deception aside, I rather enjoyed the movie as pure entertainment. Yes, some of it was silly, but there was a couple times in the theater (went with my local UFO group) that I nearly jumped out of my seat. | |

| Pure entertainment with knowing that it was not actually based on a true story, but I loved the movie. | |

| My sisters liked this movie and the one sister freaked out with the lady telling of her daughter being taken. I viewed it on dvd and thought it was a joke. The lady with the missing kid looked more alien than human. I think the scenes where the actors tried to portray their hypnosis session shocked reactions should have had the scenes shot in a surreal dream like state. Aliens abduct and the victim is taken from reality into the ethereal reality where the alien performs the deep stare mind sweep procedures. Time is stopped for the subject and on the earthly plane it is noticed the person disappeared for some time. That is if someone is in the company of the abducted victim. |

Gigas the one dead givaway was the deputy sheriff out side of the home. The radio calls sounded real, but there is no cop in the states that wouldnt whip out the ole shot gun/automatic rifle and empty it at the ufo, not to mention reloading and doing it again. Scared cop = a whole lot of shooting. Seriously though I saw a program where they were talking about aliens. The guy bieng interviewed had the most popped out eyes I have ever seen. He looked like an alien to me. Sort of like a popped eyed gold fish. daveair

| Did you know Dr Steven Greer is a Sauroid Draco. I examined his features in a project Camelot video with Bill Ryan and Kerry Cassidy doing an interview with him. Its a dead give away looking at his physical build and face. His eyes are reptilian and his mouth is wide with many teeth just like a sauroid has. His arms have the muscular structure of the sauroid along with his stature.
His curious ability to take up the disclosure endeavor points to someone with power. He is said to be ego driven and obvious to lead the pack. You have to be synapticly tuned to see beyond the obscurity in the physical illusion projected by these types. |

| the fourth kind is like blair witch and more frightening, looks like paranormal activity has a similar cinema verite' flavor. The give away for me was the alien caught on tape speaking Sumerian- too good to be true, then later I saw the Cnn and other info including the actress that has been around awhile that played AbigaleTyler. I thought it was well made and the info about owls etc.. fit more along with Communion and Transformation than anything more recent. It was fun didn't help the cause much though. | |

Maybe just maybe it will make some of the kids look up at the sky and not at the ground. Since the vast majority of people in this ole world are so down trodden. They spend most of thier time trying to aeck out a living. It's like going to a country bar on a saturday night. You know some bodys going to get into a real nasty fight and thats just the married folks. my dad used to go out every night with his pit bull, around 11:00 or so. If you asked why he was going out, he'd say he was looking for flying saucers. The best part was that he meant it. When in the movie the guy floated out of his bed and wound up with a broken back. My wife got scared and left nail prints on my leg. I don't think i'm going to take her to see "Monsters" or that new one Skyline. That looks like it's going to be a good show. Davefair

| I thought it was quite laughable. Interesting how many people got in behind this movie and no doubt boosted sales. Just watching the shorts I said to myself "self, this means that no one in Nome has curtains". That of course hasn't stopped me jumping on the band wagon and producing a "Nome Alaska" drink cooler. | |
