| does anyone think it's a good idea to go on a ghost hunting trip? i mean, to actually seek them out on some kind of organised field trip to a haunted tourist attraction? some of them even offer "ghost hunting training" wonders if the skills offered also translates to ufo hunting... hmm.

| Many people go on ghost hunting trips. They usually arm themselves with video and audio equipment and try to capture any supernatural type events. Most of the ghost hunters are amateurs, but they do read up on the subject.
If one is going to go to a cemetery or old abandoned house, it is good to ask the owner for permission (or come face to face with an shotgun held by an irate owner). Also, be careful if the house is abandoned, since no maintenance means one could fall through a floor (or other dangers).
The main idea is to find an area that is reported to have a lot of spectral phenomena or sightings. One could also pick an older mansion of cemetery as they often have hauntings that may not be reported. Good luck and be safe if you choose to go ghost hunting. |

| With those types of groups, I would look out for them trying to pull the wool over your eyes and claim there is something supernatural going on only to have a pre-organized event. As long as you have fun and know that is a possibility, I say go. Ask a lot of questions so you and your friends can do your own ghost hunting expedition. |

| From some hunting I have done, I'll tell you learn everything you can about protecting yourself (energy) but always remember if it dosent sound right or feel right to you, don't do or use it. An easy and quick way to protect yourself is to see a white light surrounding you and call on spirit protection to help you. I'll tell you to take a shower after you hunt to clean off any and all energy that you don't need. Try theathers ,old schools and if you have one try a cemitary thats just Pastors and Nuns the energies are different. I live in an area that has many hot spots! Go hunting! | |

| You'll also want to be in control of yourself (legal or illegal drugs and/or drinks), don't want to say that your not, you may not see them but feel them and you'll want to pull back away from the area. I'm sorry, my mother hen is coming out but I've seen what can happen to those who were not in control I don't want it to happen again. I said it before have fun. | |

| Please forgive me,( mother hen)I was not thinking of group hunts or programs, I was thinking of the crazy high school and college kids that have gifts of seeing and feeling ghost/spirit and have gone out playing. I've seen what happens and if some reads the posting and wants to go out on their own, I'd feel better knowing that I posted it. My mother hen thing, so please forgive again, I was not think it was something you would do. | |

My mother hen thing, so please forgive again, I was not think it was something you would do. I used to take my grand children on ghost hunts in georgia. My wife had a book of locations. We even did one in atlanta in a horse drawn carriage. I incourage any to go do it. You know your close when the hair on the back of your neck rised up. Good hunting Davefair | |
