PostSubject: Why Subscribe To Paratopia Right Now?   Fri Nov 12, 2010 1:31 pm

We've had some great shows in the past but starting right now, they get greateriest. This week's show is spectacular. The guest is legendary ground-breaker, Jacques Vallee. Just diving into the deep questions with this man is show enough, but we go a step further. In fact, we guarantee you will not hear another interview with Jacques Vallee like this!

Now Playing
Paratopia Episode 90 - Jacques Vallee

Dr. Jacques Vallee taught us how to think outside the box even with an outside the box subject like UFOs. With his new book Wonders In The Sky, he does it again. In this interview with the man himself Paratopia follows suit. Stepping outside the box of podcasting, Jeff & Jer bring Wonders In The Sky to life through readings by voices in and out of ufology (including Bill & Nancy Birnes!) eager to welcome Dr. Vallee back!

... and coming next week ...

Friday Nov. 19th
Paratopia Episode 91 - Whitley Strieber

He was the star of our first episode. Now he's the star of our 91st episode! Whitley Strieber returns to talk about some ways in which we can investigate alien abductions that don't involve hypnosis. You will hear details of his own hypnosis experience that you have never heard before. But, of course, when you have Whitley on a show you can't stay on topic for long--There's just too much to discuss! This is another can't-miss episode.

... in other news ...

Jeremy Vaeni has been named as the official screener for all things paranormal for Electric Literature. This is a big deal because they are recording stories from notable people, artists, performers, and organizations and pinning those stories to an interactive, publicly accessible, online map of our world. Accessed via the internet, or an iPhone/iPad/Android application, users of the service will be able to experience their world through the voices, anecdotes, and histories of those individuals who’ve helped to shape it.

They are currently working with a wide range of individuals and cultural institutions including comedians Michael Showalter and Dave Hill, editors from OUT magazine, storytellers from The MOTH, and the Steven Spielberg-founded Shoah Foundation. And... Jer. Cool. Spielberg's in good company. The application is slated to launch in December.

So again, why is this a big deal?--Because assuming you trust Jer's judgment, this means there will be a mainstream outlet for true (or at least plausible) ufological/paranormal stories that, for once in the history of humankind, will not contain C-R-A-P!

You're welcome!

... making news ...

Lastly, Jeff & Jer launch Paratopia Quarterly at the end of January. This will be a high-quality PDF magazine dealing in all aspects of the paranormal and human consciousness. Contributors include: Phil Imbrogno, Nick Redfern, George Hansen, Carol Rainey, Deb Kauble, Jon Spring, Emma Woods, and more!

The street price is $3.00, but monthly subscribers (even non-recurring subscribers) will get the first issue for free.

So, if you subscribe for a month right now at www.paratopia.net you will get 4 episodes of Paratopia, including Jacques Vallee & Whitley Strieber. You'll get Paratopia Quarterly emailed to you in January. And you'll get whatever audio/visual goodies Jeff & Jer post exclusively for subscribers. How much does that cost? $4.50! Four dollars and fifty cents! Are you kidding me? That's it? The friggen magazine alone is three bucks!

I'm not kidding you. That's it. But no Ginsu Knives.
