My name is Deirdre and I'm a forum junkie.

Well, I used to be. I've toned it down a bit over the last 2 years. After a decade of near-ritualistic forum consumption, I needed to step back a bit. I was tired of refreshing my email inbox every 30 seconds and thinking of new smart-ass responses to silly posts. I do still hang around at a few message boards, but usually it's just Paratopia, though I can be found briefly on USofE.

I run a website called The Interstellar Housewife (though I'm not really married), which more often than not, pokes fun at the often ridiculous antics of that hole in the ground we call UFOlogy. My writing can also be found at Women of Esoterica and at the UFO Magazine Blog site (where I have a more detailed introduction).

I'm 35 years old, a geek, live in Oregon, work as a Graphic Designer, own way too many computers, and live with my beautiful partner of 3 years.

Ugh.....I'm so embarrassed. I think I'm suffering from Saber Droop.

They used to have pills for that -- but the manufacturer was on Alderan, and, well. Yeah.

Yeah. I was on that stuff for a while. It worked too. Great blade stiffener. But then I got hooked on it and then had to face the truth of ugly addiction. I had to check myself into the Harrison Ford clinic back on Ord Mantell for some R2 - Detox.

I'm all better now.....
