Abingdon Domino's Siting 6/23/2008 @ 10:08

Multiple LARGE UFO's were seen by me and four to six others in Abingdon, VA. I am an ex military paratrooper and Pathfinder. I have seen and jumped out of just about every military aircraft in service, and have never seen anything like this. The first was a cylinder type about 20 ft longer than a CH - 47 D Chinook helicopter with two counter rotating red lights on top (car 54 style) and no other lighting, 2 Large Black rectangle s with lights (smaller) on each of four corners underneath, one larger, dimmer set back from front two and centered, with large red beacon rotating in center. First was at about 2,000 ft (i know as Ive jumped from that level), second in half hour later as we watched it descend through 8,ooo ft to about 4 to 5,000,(guestimated due to terrain) level out, move east and then begin to rise at about 8 miles out over Bristol, TN. Both moved at 45 to 60 knots going East to West along Interstate 81 and Lee Hwy. First went right over my head on Beverly Drive in Abingdon and others saw them as they passed directly in front of us at an insanely close distance. The last was a "Foo Fighter" as described by the WW II air crews that was a deep yellowish bright light about 25- 35 meters in diameter. The engines on the rectangles consisted of 7 tubes in a ring which turned red in sequence from right to left. We know this for a fact as so nothing from the craft was missed if possible and for intelligence purposes, i directed the other individuals to accomplish certain things on the night of the sitings while we watched them. All made sure we saw the same lights on the bottom of the craft, size, shape, sounds of the engine and format of the engine compartment. The compartment looked as though it was inside the craft as the red lights from the tubes were somewhat subdued and not very bright. The craft was a little wider, more of a flat rectangle.

Awesome description , way to stay focused as a group and observe as much as you could.

The rectangular objects sound very much like the ones I encountered and videotaped.

In my video , when viewing them on the tv screen looking dead on, they appear as long-width flattened rectangles ... with either red or white lights .... I noticed extreme black areas on my objects , not sure if they were truly black or just a shadow from the angle and sunlight ... but they were definitely rectangles with lights.

Describe the sound if you can .. and anything else that you remember. thanks !

Well, the only add on to the description above is that they (rectangles) were roughly the size of football fields and about five stories tall. The corner lights were very slightly recessed (as I looked directly up into the right hand corner light on the first rectangle) and very bright. The larger light in the forwrd section of the craft was a very slight bluish white. I noted that on the second rectangle, at a distance, the front two corner lights and the larger forward central light seemed to merge giving the optical illusion of a triangle craft (which now gives question in my mind as to how many reported triangles are actually rectangles). The skin of the craft was like a gunmetal polished black, maybe a shade or two just off from the night sky. They had no lighting on top at all that I could see, even from distance. It was low enough for me even to make out the track that the large rotating light sat on inside the red dome along with the shaft that went into the skin of the craft which made it spin.

All I can say is that, after eight years in the Army as a Pathfinder and Longe Range Recon (Aircraft and Armor Recognition Specialist), I know what I saw, and they were what they were.

It should also be noted that it has been confirmed that NASA was moving equipment through the area on the freeway that night by VDOT (which marries up with a neighbor report), and that FOIA requests have been submitted for tower logs and radar returns for that night from 10PM to 11:30 PM.

The FAA has denied our request for tower logs and radar returns from the night of my siting.We are going to get other individuals involved to press the issue. Uncle sammie, im sure, is going to disrupt the course of the investigation as much as possible. Anybody out there have any additional ideas as to how to get around the denial?

Contacted today by and individual with information on a siting here again over Abingdon last night and possibly one earlier this morning. The AF was involved this time with jets in pursuit both times. I heard them, but never bothored to venture outside. Apparently they were low and people saw them going lower towards the airport by my apartment. I will submit FOIA as soon as possible this time as i now know what to do. We recieved another denial from the FAA ( Dated May 6, 2009 Control number 2009-003694(ES),as they stipulate they have no records for the time period requested. Reason given was that it was not retained in accord with FAA Order 8020.16, which apparently no incidents get rid of them, this being said, my contact of TRI City Tower the next day, an event should have been logged as I talked directly to the tower, and they had requested that i contact the gentleman from the night before that were on duty. A full report was given to the tower on the phone, so did they not do their jobs? An appeal will be enroute shortly!!!! Along with new requests to Langly and NORAD. FAA may not maintain past their period specified, but i guarenty those other two do.................
