| Since signing up for "Google Earth;" I have been using it to find all the neat stuff I read about in my youth. Atlantis, Ancient astronauts, Nessie, etc. One of the books I read was "There's Something Else on the Moon" by George Leonard. It presented evidence that something other than the astronauts was on the moon. Unfortunately it's not in print now. Now with "Google Moon", you can look for this stuff yourself. Here is one interesting find, near "Rima Hadley". On the side of a round hill, with a flat top. A large creature; over 400 feet in length! In the center is a large creature. It looks like a insect, with a head turned towards us. You can see eyes, and mouth. Also a long tapering body, possibly some legs can also be made out. But, there's more! To the left of the "head" is a triangular vehicle, with a dome on it. Is some alien being researching space bugs on our moon? Finally, in the lower left corner of the photo. Is a strange branching object; a moon tree? url=https://servimg.com/view/14434881/6] [/url] | |

| I had to reply no, as the Moon cannot support any life forms. There is no atmosphere or any way for life to survive.
However, there may be alien bases on the Moon. It would make sense as there are plenty of resources there to mine for the aliens. The aliens also could use the moon as a stopping point between intergalactic travel. |

The February 1996 Issue of Discover magazine ran an article about it. See here: The Moon's Atmosphere Also the Maxx Planck Institute also confirmed the presence of a atmosphere. See Here: Investigating the Moon's Atmosphere Finally, I'm hoping future research will show more gases on our moon. Also life doesn't have to be based on an oxygen atmosphere; if you believe in evolution! | |

| Correct, the moon has a trace atmosphere, but not enough to support any type of life on its own. Mars, Europa maybe, but not our Moon. |

| Water has been found to be more abundant on the Moon than previously thought. Although it is in ice form, that does boost the possibility that some microbes may have developed on the Moon in the past. http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/space/2009-11-13-moon-water_N.htmThis is a very interesting find, and shows that water is far more common than we ever thought before. |
