Are we the invaders of this planet we call earth?

From reading the book Ophiuchus: Last Days of 2012, I ask are we the invaders of this planet, David L. Powell III writes that because we as humans are the only living creature on the planet that doesn't grow with the planet, adapt/live with the environment, and we possess abilities that no other creature can do (on this planet). Are we just simply evolved apes, if so why did apes of all a sudden stop evolving. Mr Powell rights the sasquatch is the true evolved ape. Sorry to drift. But back to topic Is it possible that we were sent to this planet due to the natural disasters destroying one planet forcing us to escape to seek refuge with another planet, before you say no, think about our journey to mars, if were to start to colonize mars make conditions tolerable to support life, if earth was threatened by a devastating asteroid, solar flare what ever, what we do...

Very possible. If we were evolved from chimps, apes, etc. wouldn't it be believable that we could watch these animals slowly evolve to humans, better yet why did they stop evolving?

With that said, it could be possible that some maybe not all visitor could be from our future, just because if you can believe the idea of time travel today and our past, why wouldn't like 100-1000 years from know we "the earthlings" should have figured out a way to achieve this by that time
