Mom's Sighting of An Unknown Being

Took place @ Mountain Home Idaho AFB sometime around 1952-53 while She was babysitting her brother one Saturday night. It was approx. midnight while her younger brother was asleep and she was was watching Tv.
She heard some type of noise outside that startled her so she first went into one of the bedrooms to look out the window.
What she first noticed was the shadow against the streetlight and then she saw this being standing just across the street. It was tall well over 6 feet tall and had these antenna sticking out of it's helmet like head. My mom wasn't the Science fiction type as a child and never watched those type of movies or shows.
She then ran down stairs to look out the front door and it was still standing there but now she had a better view. It again had all these antenna sticking out of it which was the most noticeable feature besides the robotic nature and the way it moved out of view.
Sort of a cross between the Michelin Man and a 1950's SciFi Robot but metallic in nature. It had specifically cone like antenna sticking out where it's ears would be if it had any. It moved in a side ways motion to get out of view and that's when my mom got freaked out and ran back inside. She was riding and taking care of a horse at 10 while living there and was not someone even at that age to make things up.
She of course told her parents and Air Force officer Father who laughed it off. Whatever the truth is still makes for a good Experience/Story.
