| Hi there. I haven't been on the forum in a loooooong time but anyway, did any of you happen to see any UFOs on the night of July 4? I did and then 30 minutes later I saw it again. I got on MUFON.com and found out that a LOT of people saw the same thing I did all across the country. I was just curious is any of you saw anything that night (not fireworks and NOT Chinese lanterns ... I'm so tired of that comeback ) | |

| Although the 4th was a very strange night for me, I didn't see any UFOs. However, I did notice the following day that there were like well over 100 reports of UFOs on UFO Stalker, which uses the MUFON Database. A normal day there is about 20. | |

| We were sitting outside like the rest of the country watching fireworks and my 6-year-old comes around from the side of the house and says to me excitedly, "come see the shooting star!" So I walk over there thinking I'm going to see fireworks or something silly. and I see this huge orange/red glowing ball. If you were to hold a softball in your hand and hold your arm out at full length, the ball would be about the size of the glowing ball we saw.
I stood there trying to figure out what exactly it was that I was staring at. It wasn't floating or falling, it was flying and was doing so at a steady speed from southeast to north. I yelled over to my husband and said, "Come over here, here's your UFO (because he's always saying EVERYTHING is a UFO, ha ha) so he came over and looked at it and was taken aback just like me. We watched it fly away and then disappear.
We told our kids to keep an eye out for any more and yell for us if they saw one. Sure enough about 30 minutes later they yelled for us, and there was another one. It looked the same and flew in the same path at the same speed. My father-in-law who is a HUGE skeptic immediately said, "It's a plane" but then after looking at it more, he started saying, "No, that's no plane, I don't know what that is."
I ended up reporting it to MUFON and then a MUFON Rep called me a few days later to discuss.
So there you go, that's my big UFO experience. I've always believed in them, but I never thought I'd ever have a sighting of my own.
