The Cryptoterrestrials

Has anyone here read Mac Tonnies's book, "The Cryptoterrestrials: A Meditation on Indigenous Humanoids and the Aliens Among Us"?

Tonnies was a very fine writer. While I am not completely sold on his ideas--I have an open mind on them--I am enjoying this book a great deal. I'm looking forward to reading his Mars book as well.

He died young, but I don't know any details. Anybody have info?

Mac was not totally sold on his idea either -- it was just an idea.

Mac had a heart problem that took him from us far earlier than we would have liked.

Many thanks! I bought the book for the subject matter, but it's M.T.'s writing that has hooked me. Fine, fine prose. It's a shame that we've lost him.
