Alfred, loved your column (as always) -- interesting how that happens, I've had the same experience many times -- people look up, others notice you and others looking up but they don't look up! Then, shrug, the weirdness of the object mumbled about, topic is dropped, and things continue as if nothing strange just happened.

And, like you, I've had people come to me when no one else is around and tell me their stories, or want to talk about it, but try bringing it up in a group of people (fellow saucer heads excluded of course) and most people seem .... embarrassed. As well as impatient.

A brief and light conversation about UFOs in general, maybe, often related to TV shows or movies, but nothing deeper than that. Sometimes, but not often.

Alfred, I have to agree with Regan - great article.

Richard Dolan is the real deal: an honest to god UFO investigator with a sharp mind. Thank goodness for him and his seminal books.

Woo woo is the big taboo. If people only understood how nonsensical it is to deny your experiences just because you are worried they will make you look "weird".

To my mind, denying your experiences is what is truly weird. Conformity to a twisted and mistaken status quo is irrational. Funny how that is always portrayed as the "rational" view. Just another example of cultural cognitive dissonance, eh? Suspect

Lehmberg and Dolan, what could be better? Nada.

Thank you my fellows! It's always the best to hear from your brother and sister writers.
