Nothing anywhere about the recent launch of their "secret" satellite. Sure sounds weird. News said it was financed by NASA's own budget presumably with no WH approval, or denial.
Can't imaging how the 1000's of employees that had to be involved haven't disclosed anything. Must be a super strong threat over their heads to keep them quiet. Has to be something REALLY big, or threatening. You'd think someone would tell his wife or his brother-in-law. With the internet today there are plenty safe ways to contact newspapers, forums, etc.
The launch had to take months to make ready. Lots of sub-contractors that wouldn't be required to take the "secrecy oath" had to be involved. Some of the sub-assemblies had to be made by outside contractors. "Specs" of some items had to be unique to this launch. We have many, many observation cameras in orbit already. The "secret" launch wouldn't be just for MORE observations. It has to have a purpose so disrupting to the public that it's worth the secrecy..
This should be a conspiracy buff's dream come true.
