PostSubject: Tap... Tap... Tap... Is this thing on?   Sun Oct 18, 2009 6:19 pm

Hi everyone. My name is Frank and I am a co-host of the podcast Spooktalkular. We used to cover 'UFO Hunters' when it was on regularly and, it was one of our favorites to cover. We even had the honor of having Mr. Birnes on the show once to talk with us. I keep a check here on the forums for status updates for 'UFO Hunters' so I should have probably registered before now but I'm secretly a little lazy.

My interest in UFOs predates Spooktalkular by many decades. When I was in grade school, this incredible new series came out. It was 'Project UFO'. I was instantly drawn in. I remember scanning the night sky and talking with my friend Thomas the next day about what we would see on the previous nights. Ahhh, those were the good ole days, when television spurred the imagination of a young mind instead of just filling it with trash. In any case, this interest has continued through the years up to even today.

To think that there is nothing else out there or that we are the most technologically advanced if anything else is indeed out there is kind of like back when we used to think that the Earth was flat or that it was the center of the universe.

To everyone, I'd like to thank you for allowing me to dwell amongst you in the forum here.

Frank

Although I was born and raised here, my mom and older members of my family were from KY. It is a beautiful state with lots of rich history, folklore and spooky tales.

The marathon of episodes coming up does not bode well for the future, but hopefully HC can change their mind about the series.

Frank Edwards was the first writer I read who got me into this and other subjects when I was younger. I also was a huge fan of Project UFO, especially when the episodes would use scenarios from known cases.

Welcome to this forum, and I hope to read about your many experiences on this site.

Goddess Bless.

Lloyd

Wow, thank you so much to all of you for the kind replies. My family loves Kentucky which is one of the reasons that we've stayed here all these years. No matter where we go, we always seem to return. The forums look great! Lots of interesting stuff being discussed and they seem fairly active which is always a plus. Thanks again for the kind welcome.

Kentucky is a beautiful state. If I didn't have family here, I would consider moving there. Love the Land Between the Lakes area and have also traveled through the eastern part of the state.

The winters are mild, but there is enough of a season change for me to be happy.

We are actually in the eastern part of the state, right on the Ohio river. I remember, we used to have much worse winters in the 70's and 80's. The fall colors are setting in pretty good now. It is one of my favorite times of the year.
