It looks like History Channel will run all four episodes of UFO Hunters on Thursday October 29, 2009 starting at 8PM Eastern/7PM Central Time. Get out the popcorn and snackcones, and maybe have some Hunters parties.

This is good or bad news, depending on how one views it. History could just want to bleed the show off, or they could be prepping for a renewal. If we all watch and get friends to watch, maybe this series can be saved and renewed for next year.

Thanks to Cindy for reminding me of this airing. I checked the Titan TV schedule and they list this as a marathon.

I think it is most likely a bad sign. It shows that they aren't interested in comparing ratings over 4 weeks with those from when it was on against Lost. Also, from what I can tell MysteryQuest is probably cheaper to produce, so I think they have replaced UFO Hunters with that

They have been pushing Mystery Quest lately. I feel that you are right on this one, but I am having a pizza party and will enjoy the shows. Hopefully some specials can be made in the future.

It seems strange they shot the third season right after the second and then suddenly started treating it like a red headed step child.

I wonder what happened to cause this turn around?

I still haven't seen a full episode of MysteryQuest, but I watched the last part of the Area 51 ep and it seemed like they were just copying what UFO Hunters did.

Anyhow, from what I can tell they don't have a real team, like Bill, Pat and Ted. So I think it all comes down to money (like most things in TV) since to my knowledge "guests" are paid very little and many happily do it for free to help sell their books or whatever.

So far, I've watched all of them and they're not horrible. When I heard the promo for the UFO/Area 51 one I thought, "What the heck" but I still watched it. I think Bill and crew did such a much better job. I can't be sure but I'm believe they even "borrowed" some footage and animations from 'UFO Hunters'.

I personally will glued to the TV for the marathon because I really miss the show. When it was on regularly, we used to cover it on our podcast. It was really one of our favorites. *sigh*....

The show looks for actual physical evidence of the subject, like UFO Hunters did. Area 51 has been done to death, so I was a little disappointed in that episode. Still, it is good to see a show look at all kinds of paranormal and other mysteries. It is my hope that Bill and crew can work on a few episodes of this series.

I still want UFO Hunters or UFO Files to return, but that is a long shot now.
