Hiya folks and fellow conscious motes!

I'll be away from a keyboard for the most part this month and in and around Flatwoods, WV, celebrating the steadfast courage and faultless integrity of those long suffering townspeople.

Next month, some 57 years ago, the town of Flatwoods interacted in a substantive way with the unusual outré and stunningly bizarre. They have paid a heavy price ever since. Largely painted a laughingstock as the result of the slap/dash and incompetent "investigation" of uber-Klasskurxian English teacher Joe Nickell, among others, the people of Flatwoods have endured to have the last laugh facilitated by the truly exhaustive researches of Frank Feschino. Indeed, the good persons of Flatwoods "know what they saw."

I would love to join you there. The story is one of the most terrifying in ufology. Frank Feschino did a wonderful job in his book about the case (I can't wait for the release of his updated and revised book).

Mrs May recently passed away, and the UFO community lost a valuable and wonderful person. It was her bravery to come forward and tell what happened while many questioned her and stated they all saw a barn owl.

I never met her, but I understand she was a brave lady all her days... and nights!

Interesting story, I am finding alot of great, new info on this Forum! Not the usual, run of the mill type paranormal stories either, Thanks to all.
I will be getting copies of Mr Feschino's books. West Virginia is full of unusual creature stories. The Mothman has always been captivating to me. And it seems lame that, the common answer for these creatures is a Barn Owl. You'd think someone living in the country knows what an Owl looks like at Night, sheesh

BTW Mr. Lemberg, your avatar is really fascinating to my Kids, I love it!!!
Could you possibly elaborate on its origins?

Mr Feschino's second book is the one to get "Shoot Them Down". His first book was OK, but he repeated himself. He is now rewriting that book and it will be released soon. You won't be disappointed with "Shoot Them Down" as it is a big book with a lot of information in it.
