TV Show Production

There seems to be a little stir going on about Mystery Quest and an episode that was produced with MUFON in it.

It concerns staging events to produce shows and portray things that didn't happen.

I feel for people like Bill & Nancy Birnes who I believe have tried to present a show that they believed was informative and honest about what is going on. Unfortunately they do not have total control and this is where the problems start. I think Bill has addressed this before and Nancy has too.

I get the impression that someone is looking at numbers that are not reflecting what viewers are saying or that the information is being interpreted wrong. That someone is also changing how these type shows are being produced and just like Bill & Nancy, the people who own these shows, are frustrated beyond compare.

Television is a cutthroat media behind the scenes and we have been subjected to what sells to sponsors rather than what the public wants.

So as the backlash from what is becoming public about what happened with MUFON and Mystery Quest develops, I hope that something good comes out of it. I hope that as the smoke clears, Bill & Nancy will find the right place to continue UFO Hunters and be able to produce & show it as they intended it to be shown.
