This is why ufology needs to be a little more diligent. If we can be fooled by three kids under ten years old, then we have a lot to learn.
And thats why we as a community have to be careful not to become angry with the pranksters , instead let it hone the skills of the investigators so that they can become better and harder to fool , the more pranks that are uncovered is like bootcamp training for the investigators , it can be used as a data bank for future investigations and actually help prove the real events by comparing against known pranks. I just feel if we react in anger towards pranksters, it will only provoke them to do it more often. If we stay calm and use the pranks as tools for the future investigations, i believe the pranksters will lose their enthusiasm since they're not causing such an uproar.
Um... it "can" go both ways maybe all ways and almost always - "badly"? I can't imagine what these children in this following news item from today felt. "Teachers" did this. Sound familiar? Ethics? Fix' takes off glasses... looks down, sighs. The 21st Century?
I'd choose learning from children (given the choice in ethics instructors) - BEFORE they get "taught" such hard lessons and ingenuities of "refinement of interpersonal skills" - far more efficient and entirely "backward". Not very "adult" of me. Sorry.
