Crying or Very sad
I think we may have angered the History Channel gods, with all our emails and petitions, as they have now removed all UFO Hunters shows from my tv's on-screen listings for the next two weeks, and the only remaining on-demand episode is the Nazi one, when they used to have at least five available.

It does seem like they are removing all their UFO series from being aired. They still are airing Monster Quest, so that is still a positive sign that they may bring back UFO Hunters.

Does anyone connected with the show know when the last episodes of the season will be aired?

yeah, they are lovin' their MonsterQuests! dozens of re-airings in the next couple of weeks; and only two UFO Files eps, plus two different UFO Files eps on their Spanish channel.

i think the scarier UFO Hunters question is IF they are even going to be airing the finale.

I did find it strange that they immediately started to air the third season right after the second one finished. They usually have a wait of a few months up to a year before airing the next season.

It seems that they just stopped airing UFO Hunters in the cold. Was there an executive change at The History Channel (or A&E Channels)? Did Disney, NBC Universal or Hearst (the owners) want changes in the line-up?

As Han Solo would say: I have a bad feeling about this.

"Things that make you go, hmmm..."'

Opportunity comes in the dynamic of the most unlikely packaging at times - times change.

To some, the social relevance of "Network TV" (or what passes for Network TV today) is, and has been, and continues to, decline. Perhaps it's time for a new business model - one that isn't entirely "TV" driven. "TV" isn't "connected-enough" nor "current-enough" for the 21st Century. The subset of society at large who share "an interest" in this general subject matter is rather impressive - UFO Hunters did have Benz as a sponsor. Reasonable monetization could potentially have many sources and it would be important to be "beholding to no one - but the honest truth".

Nancy and Bill are rather uniquely positioned at this time. Very Happy Given a sustainable monetization model amongst like-stakeholders of some reasonable voice and representation it would not seem unreasonable to go "global" integrating a variety of cross-platform distribution channels at the culmination of a development period from "the bottom-up" so to speak. Cross-pollination from different media "could" be an advantage as the lines between the different media streams blur.

It is difficult to say "what that might look, sound and read like". Very Happy

It wouldn't have to be fancy to have my interest - I'm always interested in the honest truth. Very Happy

Actually, with the new digital signals and extra broadcast stations now available (some in Chicago are like TV Land with the older reruns), I expect cable and satellite will have a drop in subscribers. I thought about dropping my cable all together, but decided to keep the analog stations for now. (UFO Hunters was one of the reasons I kept it.) If they do dump UFO Hunters, I might save $60 a month and dump my cable altogether as the digital channels number about 50. I would get DSL for $30 a month and keep the cell phone, so I would have more money to myself.

People are cutting back on many items, and when they realize many of the broadcast stations offer much more in the digital arena, they may drop the extra cost of having cable or satellite.

LOL. I went out out and bought digital-cable jus' so I could watch UFO Hunters - got to watch four episodes. Very Happy The joke is on me... OTA digital gives about 40 stations here with a decent antenna AND there's still plenty of analog still available in the GWN.

57 Channels...

Calling Elvis...
Television...

LOL. Very Happy But why complain? I'm going sailing.

Enjoy your sailing! sunny

I think people will start wising up as to why pay for something they can get for free? I have always wondered why I am paying for cable when the cable channels all have commercials just like over the air broadcasters. It is nice weather out now, and I also plan on staying outside more often. (I'm also sick of a every channel being devoted to MJ anyways.)

Goddess Bless,
