I live in Washington State and can tell you with as many nuts in the woods with ATCs, guns and lots of alcohol. A simple sasquatch would be shot paraded around town and in every paper in the world. Im an avid bowhunter and have hunted wilderness areas all over the state. Ive seen nothing that could qualify as such. I know during gun season one would get shot for making a noise. Way too many idiots in the woods with dirt bikes atcs 4x4s to not find one.
I find it hard to belive a large primate could live in forest here. Anyone who has spent time in wild forest here knows its a rather barren place. All the life lives on the edge of the forest not much in it. Not enough to feed a 400 pound creature. Bears can do it because as a herbivore it can at bugs and rodents fruits berries, bipedal animals do not hibernate so winter would doom it.
