I enjoyed the TV Series way-back when... art imitated life or vice-versa.
"Like the Gerry Anderson series, the film will revolve around Shado (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization), a secret military operation hidden beneath a Hollywood studio, whose operatives battle an alien race that has been kidnapping and killing humans for decades and using the body parts."
I hope it works out for production. A Variety blurb.

I remember when that program was reran here in Chicago (in the 1970s). It was on very late at night, but I did catch a few episodes. Hopefully, it will come back on one of the cable channels.
I don't remember much when watching it, so it will be interesting to see it again.

My grand-kid picked me up a DVD of the series in the UK, but I enjoyed the series more when it was "new". I'm sure it's available somewhere in the torrential-data-stream these days. In certain ways it was a barometer predictive of some of the cultural changes with which we've lived since.
One aspect that I really liked was despite the overall "bad alien" concept was the "good" and "dissident-factor" within the "green men" who "breathed" fluid using stolen human organs, meat and bone and the ensuing "human cover-up".
One episode featured a blind elderly woman and an alien trying to defect - and of course "we" killed him. I liked the similar "balance" within the human characters. A bit like Raul Kubrick and his brother Stanley - art and life imitate and approximate each other. Wink.
I hope the new treatment keeps these sort of aspects - "if" it makes it to production.
Cheers,

Hi guys,
I know it's changeing the subject but did 'Space 1999' or 'Blake's 7' ever make it Stateside?
I thought Space 1999 was great. 'ah - the golden years of U.K. television sci fi'.
Best wishes

I've never seen fireball xl5, what was it about?
That's what I used to watch on Saturday mornings when I was a kid:
Flash Gordon - the 1930s series. Part of me wishes they would air it again; fond memories!
Best wishes, Mac 5.
