PostSubject: Coming out of lurk mode to say "hi!"   Mon Dec 27, 2010 3:07 pm

I've been a member for a while and have been lurking almost since this forum got started. Just wanted to say "hi" and let everyone know that I enjoy the forum. I've been especially interested in the posts by Only Child and others about a possible "big event" coming our way - thanks for the discussion on that!

Welcome 12cat. It is good in my opinion to talk when you think it might further the conversation or in this case to be polite. Lurking seems a harsh word for listening, figuratively speaking as we are watching. I have learned that an argument cannot be won when one side is predisposed to a forgone conclusion and quiet; though not socially accepted these days, is innocuous and provides one with more time to reflect on the subject at hand and not get caught up in the superlatives. All that said, I look forward to your coming out of the shadows!

Hi Glider - no disrespect intended by omitting your name. I enjoy your posts and the dialog you have going with Only Child. I'm also going to give a shout out to Davefair and Gigas.

BTW Glider - I just read your post where it sounds like you are going to retire from posting on this board - why? Only Child can't have a monolog (and he's said that he's going to "retire") - don't go - we have an interesting discussion going on here - lets keep it going!

Hmmm first post........... What have you seen that you have been afraid to share or should that be experienced........... hmmm lurking
and here I am far to verbose. Perhaps I should "lurk" awhile.

Hi Davefair and thanks for the compliment ("erudite" - I think).

I've been interested in UFOs since I was a child in the mid-60s and my father brought home a National Enquirer that featured a squadron of flying sauces on the front page. Around that time, I also saw Betty and Barney Hill on a tv show (possibly David Suskind) and I was hooked from there.

I've never seen a UFO myself, although I know a number of people who have seen them, and I've also met a couple of people who confessed to me of having some very strange experiences -these people were not "nut jobs".

It still amazes me how so many people refuse to believe in the existance of UFOs. I don't know if they are from "outer space", or from another dimension, but they exist and those who refuse to acknowledge this are very blind.

Only Child's theory is very intriquing - I've gotten a copy of the book by Paul La Violette ("Earth Under Fire") but have yet to start reading it. I've believed for a very long time that remnants of humanity survived some major disaster that was either natural or man-made, and "history" as we know it isn't the entire "truth". I also feel (and call me "nuts" if you like) that in Earth's past, there was either a human or alien based technologically advanced civilization that might have included things such as atomic weapons! And from reading the newspapers and internet news, I think that unless we as humans get our collective heads out of our asses, we are on the highway to total disaster.

And a note: I was in the Air Force in the late 70s - from my experience there, I wouldn't believe a damn thing that the military or the goverment in general says. Both for "security" reasons and good ol CYA reasons (we won't even discuss incompetance - LOL).

And to Vortexasylum - thanks for the welcome!

A far better book for you.
Governor Venture's Don't start the revolution with out me.
Conspiracy Theorys abound and the sad part there is more then a little truth to it.
I will tell you a truth, one that I know first hand by having spent my life in service to my
country.
There are those in charge that believe that they know more then we do and
that we should do as they say, not as we the people feel they should.
This is true at all levels of the the goverment and the military.
A class example is shown when Bill walks over to the state trooper at dugway and extends his hand.
Permission to take pictures? Stand back and let me see some Identifaction. Thank god there was a
film crew there with a camera.
Your govement has been taking away your constitutional rights in the name of home land security.
No, one seems to care.
By objecting your name goes on a list.
Mine is in the mix, how about you? Care to dive in?
To not have a problem is to not get on thier radar.
Unfortunatly as a youth I took an oath to protect and serve the constitution.
Every one in the military did.
I took mine to the next level by becomming a Jeffersonian constitutionalist.
I believe that when he wrote a little revolution is a health thing for government.
There are people in the government that would cheerfully shoot me for objecting.

Hey, Dave. Observation is a must in the quest for most things that go forward. I have observed in others as well as myself, that we react in extremes by no fault of our own; but it is what keeps us apart. You can imagine my patriotic surprise when I discovered we were all being fumigated with chemical flares, gases and powders when all the while, they (our dear uncle Sam) sponsors, certifies and gives our tax dollars to companies that are more than willing. Well, of course I ran to all my friends and family and screamed the sky was falling and they in turn said thank you with the label of a nut when I was never more sane or in need for someone to hear me. Now, on second thought I see where I might have pursued my quest with a more tactical approach.
The moral of my story has no moral only a cold hard fact; emotion has no place in understanding the truth and all dissent must be put forth and laid out with deliberation as well as evidence and only then will others listen. Do I feel like taking someone out? Well, yeah I guess you could say that but it would only hurt my quest.
We all have to come together to get what we all know to be the truth, but first we must all know what that is. I have changed my way and people are starting to listen.

vortrex,
please excue the abb. as the asylum, is where they would put ya if they could.
I have a tendency to drag my soap box out at odd intervals. I do not frighten easily. I am more then a little disgusted with the way
the party lines have become blured.
Do trust I my goverment............ Well some of them are actually honorable men........ Then there are the others.....
Lesley, could probably add to that.
Do You believe that they are telling us the truth? I worked for the goverment and military for most of my adult life.
Based on what I observed, I don't think you can trust any politician to tell you it's daylight out side, with out going to the window to see for your self. Hard core military have a "for the good of the service" and a "need to know" mentality. The "good ole boy" runs rampant thru both.
Oh, I amost forgot one "you didn't see that" or "You didn't hear that".
If you have ever stood a deck watch on a ship far out at see you know that there are things that you see that you never report.
Every navy ship at see maintains both a radar/sonar and deck watch. The lookouts are supposed to see and report. They do but it never makes it into the log. Did you know that on a quiet nite you can hear the whales sing? Eerie glows under the sea a the most common, nothing on the sonar, just bioluminescence keeping pace with the ship for a while. Some times, it just wierds you out. Some times the captain gets up to look too. They say that 300 decibles of sonar pulses can kill a whale or stun it so it drowns.
We still have boomers out on patrol. One of them could take out most of europe or a good chunk of old Russia.
Aww! Shucks there I go again.

Crasycat,
it's great that you believe that we are the remnats of forgotten age. I am of that opinion to. I base that one the still visible detritus that remains on the undeveloped shores of this ole word. The petrified forest, the great craters on the face of the earth. The Caribbean sea and its islands. I have personaly seen coral in the mountains of cuba that dated back to some 12 million years. Coral so old that it floats when set in a bowl of water. Here in florida we dig up phosphates from below the surface, old seacreatures and more. Sharks teeth the size of your hand. I have seen fossilized sea bottom as far north as Ohio. I was told that there were no civilizations twelve thousand years ago that possesed the ability to create ceramics. Yet pieces have been discovered in colorado.
I believe that what only child states may well be true. I came to the conclusion that some thing was going to happen, quite some time ago.
I to do not know what it is, but I do know this. It fills me with great forbidding. I had hoped that it would not be in my sons time, now my grandsons time. I don't know why but I do know we are rushing to it. I have listened to the doom and gloom folks and think they are full of BS. I think that so far I have lived thru three diffrent dates that the world was supposed to end and it didn't. Perhaps it's just my own death that worries me, but I doubt that.
So come on over an tell us why you feel that way?

I think I'll keep the name just the way I made it up. It fits me. I trust I will never trust my government again. It has nothing to do with the honorable men and women who serve. (one of my hero's, Gordon Cooper is a great example) The only point I was attempting to make was that we all must be on the same page and have all our ducks in a row, in order to present our case whatever that may be and not let it be diluted with emotion even though that is a very large order.

PostSubject: The truth   Sun Jan 09, 2011 1:15 am

You are correct, we must all have our ducks in a row.
Glider would like information on the traingluar shaped craft. So would I. Is it forth comming, we shall see.
That you have found the truth in the air (so to speak) you will under stand that they just don't know of any other way to do it.
The R&R dollars are just not there. When you collect hazmat, you must put it some where. The nucular stuff goes under ground.
Well jeez guess what? So does the stuff, that doesn't get burnt or dumped in the sea. They are supposed to stop doing that. They don't.
The almighty dollars rules the day. The theroy is, out of sight out of mind. If you object your a crack pot.
So don't make loud noises and get on thier radar.
