Very interesting and wonderful episode. I loved it and didnt know of the operations going on down at that location. I think those cables are attached to either Atlantis or an Alien colony or base. Or like Max said Atlantis was orginally inhabeted by ET's. I also believe that all of the Bermuda Triangle mysteries can now be accounted for. I think that UFO Hunters should go back and use an underwater camera or one of those remote operated vhicles that has a camera on it and take it down the drop where the cable goes. My understanding is the cable leads out of the area you cant dive in correct? Well I just think with an Alien base or something there cause all of the anomoles of the Bermuda Trianle. Great Information!

Yeah the Atlantis part was cool bit IDK what that had to do w/ UFo's..? Alien Civilization???? Yeah 2 bad on that cable going 1000+ft deep. I cant even stand being 14ft in the deep end of a pool hard enough for Pat to go 120ft deep. I kept looking at the clear waters on this episode and wished I was there. I dont have much to comment on this show. Seems like Kevin is being a little less skeptic on here.Seems like all the USO sighting were from 1970's to early 1980's. Didnt metion much on this 1mile+ wide USO's. Once again I believe the cutting room floor left more to be seen in the 1hr time frame. Next episode I bet will drop it like its hot. Basketball

edit: I found out that those concreate slabs were put there to break up the water to help protect the reef.
Also that underwater line is a data transfer and retrieval line used for info for the testing they do. It helps with the tracking of the test torpedos and submarines.
I wonder why they didnt walk up to the gate and get a visitor pass to get in?

Another fine episode of UFO Hunters for Season 3. Very Happy A "just-right" treatment for reaching the greatest number of those who may not have previously been informed from the widest platform available. More!!!

Hopefully revisiting the topics in future episodes will yield still more strong results. A super-duper model for growing the series and by default a greater public-awareness - "sticky"; the good form of sticky. Very Happy

A bit more than Cable-TV being watched and explored down Andros-Isle-way? Very Happy

For those who'd like to explore a bit, some quick links that may lead the inquisitive searcher Very Happy elsewhere:

A US Army HTTPS PDF link about cabling and AUTEC.

A public-access private link to the same PDF document as listed above.

Another US Army HTTPS PDF link about cabling and AUTEC.

A public-access private link to the same PDF document as listed above.

A Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC link about AUTEC.

A US Navy Submarine Command Word format document "UCT 1 Assists Submarine Force".

A public-access private link to the same Word document as listed above.

A public-access private link to the same Word document as listed above but converted to a text format.

Isn't AUTEC a dual or co-located facility with a support base in Florida? I haven't yet looked at available maps but would it not make some sense for there to be a "hard-wire" data-cable running the 177Nm to Andros?

Fix'

P.S. To add that the public-access private links to the files at boxstr.com may not be working properly at this time - 3:06PM Eastern 090514.

PostSubject: my review of the episode   AUTEC Episode was really interesting! Icon_minitimeThu May 14, 2009 3:54 pm

The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) was the subject of last night's rather interesting show. The military station is considered to be the Navy's version of Area 51. It is difficult to get near it by sea or approach the base by road without security making it known that they are watching you.

There were many witnesses interviewed on the very strange craft they have seen near the area. An underwater cable that goes to the very deep end of the ocean was also explored. The six thousand foot drop is way too deep for humans to dive, so that mystery was left unsolved. It is not an international cable, as they are quite thick. It may still be a communications cable, but where it goes is not known.

The area is near the Bermuda Triangle, an area which is quite known for aircraft instruments to act wildly. A man was interviewed who claimed to have traveled in time. I was quite interested in the story, but he only traveled 30 minutes into the future. I was hoping for a longer time period, but the case is still puzzling. Arriving 30 minutes sooner on a trip may have other explanations for it, such as the clocks not working in a timely manner, or other reasons.

The show also went off the deep end a bit with the usual wild theories of other authors. A French author claimed the area was a portal to other dimensions. His theory sounded more like an old "Outer Limits" episode than anything else. He did not have anything to back up his claims, which seems to be par for the course in these types of witnesses/theorists. While they are interesting points and theories, the idea should be to prove the craft sighted is not one of ours, or has been built with the technology that was not our own.

A remote viewer was interviewed on what he allegedly "viewed". I am also on the fence when it comes to remote viewing claims. I do know the army had a unit devoted to remote viewing, but that does not mean it was successful or they achieved any results with the method. Are these people actually seeing something in their minds, or is it imagination? I have read Jim Marrs' book on the subject, and will not dismiss the idea outright. It would be nice to get some backup evidence to the claims made.

The end of the hour was devoted to finding out if Atlantis was off of Cuba. The two people interviewed are devoted to Edgar Cayce. Cayce predicted that a death ray used by Atlantis would be discovered in 1958, and that China would convert to Christianity in 1968. He also predicted California would fall into the ocean in the late 1960s. He is best known for his psychic "readings", in which he went into a trance and threw the kitchen sink at people with his medical pronouncements. As one can see, I believe Cayce to be a charlatan, and a good one at that. This part of the show had me straining to not turn the channel.

I am one to think there is a possibility that a much older civilization once existed over ten thousand years ago. Some may put Atlantis in this boat, but that may not be the name they went by. The sea bottom near the coast of Cuba and other areas has what appears to be columns that appear to be man-made. It is quite possible they could still be natural and cut by the strong currents in the sea, but I am open to the possibility that they were made by an older civilization. Artifacts are needed and other evidence before I take the plunge and state it is man-made.

While I think the ideas presented are quite interesting, I also think they can be off-putting to some skeptics who want to see a program about the evidence of flying saucers being real. These tangents may be too tin foil hat like for them. I guess UFO nerds like me are entertained, but I also like more substance on the show, like the episode shown last week.

I must add that I did learn more about AUTEC, as I had not heard much about it before the show. I give the entertainment value an A, but the information and evidence gleaned a C for an overall B.

Here is the skeptics dictionary's take on Cayce:

Lloyd

From *Mark*:

I was in the military, and the best way to get a pass is to know someone stationed on the base itself. If the crew knew a high ranking officer (O-6 or above/E-8 or above), that may help also. One cannot get a pass to a base, unless one has a sponsor to help them get on base. The only exceptions are for air shows and other activities opened to the public. The security at those events makes sure people do not wander near the more sensitive areas of the base.

Goddess bless,

Lloyd

This one definitely got my mind going. Like UFOSRHERE, I think they need to go back with an ROV and check out that cable further. Whether it's it a communications line or what not, I don't know, but definitely weird. Perhaps it's connected to some sort of underwater sound detection array, like the one that detected the famous bloop, or even an underwater base, be it ET or human.

As for the unusual underwater structure visited at the end, the dating I find interesting. However, I'm not to much of a fan of carbon dating, since it's really only good for finding out how old the materials are as opposed to how old the structures are. Of course I could be wrong since I'm not an expert on carbon dating by any means.

I also have a thought on the object described by the witness aboard the torpedo retriever (I think that's what they said). He described something looking like multiple cylinders moving rapidly, and rather large. There have been reports of giant cephalopods (such as squid or octopus) that reach massive lengths, much larger then what we know the colossal and giant squids to reach. The Bahamas and Caribbean have been home to some of those, and being near such a deep section of ocean, perhaps what was seen was a giant squid or octopus jetting by which could be fairly fast.

Hi Naveed. When you wrote:

"Perhaps it's connected to some sort of underwater sound detection array, like the one that detected the famous bloop, or even an underwater base, be it ET or human."

I was doing some searches on unrelated detection of neutrinos and AUTEC "popped-up" as having the TOTO (Tongue of the Ocean) as a listening facility for the acoustic detection of neutrinos. It would appear 3 or perhaps 4 areas near AUTEC are "wired".

Here is graphic representation of one of the arrays of hydrophones (amongst other sensor grid) associated with AUTEC.

Funny the AUTEC website has been "down" since not long after the UFO Hunters' broadcast. Very Happy

First off, what the heck is acoustic detection of neutrinos?

Secondly, that's kind of funny that AUTEC's site is down. Wonder if the episode drew a bunch of attention to them and overloaded their traffic. After all, I don't think many people knew about AUTEC (including myself) until this episode. Or they decided to remove it due to the episode to avoid e-mails and what not. Either way, it's a bit odd.

Hi Naveed. Very Happy http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/autec/ is still down at 22:19 Eastern. Very Happy "Technical Difficulties" are responsible no-doubt. The parent site at Newport is "up". Very Happy

Neutrino detection is of interest to mostly astronomers, particle physicists and energy researchers. They are highly-energetic, without charge and perhaps mass-less products of our Sun and certain types of nuclear events. A brief history, here. The detector array setup at AUTEC was an acoustic sensing type of detector - actually an obsolete method of detection since SNO in Sudbury started collecting Cherenkov radiation data as photon-mapped like this link at Queens University shows, here.

Here's an older 2002 Stanford PDF article about the AUTEC Neutrino detection work by Gratta et al. called "Neutrino Hunters Borrow Military Ears - And Eyes" and here's a link to one of Gratta's more light-hearted pieces that has a great shot of the Tongue of the Ocean and some of the more "head-banging" frustrations in attempting open-sea aquatic acoustic neutrino detection, here. His work at AUTEC's facilities amongst others is published and listed by the IEEE and can be seen here.

You see there is a deficit of neutrinos, but that's very unrelated to this thread. It would seem reasonable to say that AUTEC is a cutting-edge aquatic research facility at a minimum. Big smile. Very Happy They do whales and dolphins too.

Cheers,

Fix'
