This is a review of all of Frank Edwards' work.

When I was a young adolescent, my mother would take the train to work. At the station, there was an area that offered paperback books by the library and other commuters. The idea was to borrow a book and also one could donate a book. My mother would get the old Frank Edwards books and I would read them after her.

I recently got a few copies of the original books by Frank Edwards. They are flawed by many standards, but they introduced many ...

Colin Wilson and his son Damon have compiled a lot of unsolved mysteries for this rather thick tome on the unknown. Everything from Sasquatch to UFOs are covered in this book. At over 600 pages, there is something for everyone. Originally written in the early 1980s, this book has been updated by Mr Wilson, with some mysteries having more information and others being solved. Well researched, this is one book that is great for referencing the many subjects of paranormal and strange phenomena, as ...

The Allagash abductions is a well known case about four young men who go on a camping trip and end up having a terrifying experience. The book, written by Raymond E Fowler, is a very well done book about the experiences and hypnotic regression sessions between ...

This book is part of a series of books about state sightings and lore of various phenomena.

There are many different types of stories in this book, from UFOs to Bigfoot, with giant rabbits thrown in for good measure. A quick and fun read, the author looks at several cases, both famous and not so well known that have happened in Minnesota. Most readers have heard of the Minnesota Icemen, but few have heard of sightings of giant rabbits (or kangaroos). My favorite case is the young man who ...

Ronald Reagan claims to have seen a UFO, and also made a few cryptic speeches about the possibility of an alien invasion. Was SDI (Star Wars Defense Initiative) a program to defend the world from such an invasion? Many cases are looked ...

Herr von Daniken begins by telling about the books that have been passed on to people that are written about in the Bible and other sources. He spends a great deal of time on the story of Enoch and adds in others ...

The Cygnus Mystery is one of the many books out that deal with the ancients and their knowledge of astronomy. Andrew Collins focuses on the constellation Cygnus and comes up with a wild theory. The theory isn't that new, but it does make one think.

Many of these authors use the ancient religious rites and texts as the major part of their research. While I do think it is a fascinating subject, I do wonder if they are reading too much into what is being stated. Since we cannot view our ancestors ...

The problem isn't the subject of the book, it is how the author gets there. Much of the book is quotes from other noted authors of these fringe subjects. He even remembers to add the exclamation points author David Hatcher Childress so annoyingly uses. Graham Hancock and Zecharia Sitchin get heavy usage in the book also. He does ...

Hello everyone! Im new here! The name is Fishcakes your friendly neighborhood Hybrid.

Having thought about it im not going to ask you which books to buy next. Instead i recomend a book review. Tell everyone what you are reading now. Or tell everyone what you have read and why you would recommend it. Or on the other hand tell us about a book you hate and why we should leave it alone. This should benefit everyone, not just me.
"Supernatural" by Graham Hancock

The latest book by Mr Hancock will probably be his most controversial. The subject is the spiritual or "Otherwold" that many shamans have been to throughout history. Mr Hancock starts off by discussing the artwork left by the Stone Age peoples and starts to ponder the start of religious or spiritual thought. This takes him to the shamans, and to experience the hallucinogenic drugs of the cultures. The trips he goes on are rather incredible and real. He then hypothesizes that the trips ...

"The Starchild Skull" by Lloyd Pye

When I picked up "The Starchild Skull", I could not put it down. I read the entire book during the night. The book is the fascinating story of the Starchild skull seen on UFO Hunters. Mr Pye writes about how he came upon the skull and the story of the skull up to that point. He then starts on an odyssey of finding out more about the skull. He goes to many different specialists and the majority of them say it is a deformed skull. The skull baffles them, but they stick with their statements. ...

My review of "Shoot Them Down" by Frank Feschino

I am one who reads a lot of books on flying saucers and other unusual phenomena. The books written tend to be a short overview of some complex subjects, and the authors tend to cite the same references when they write the books. If there is a misquote of factual error, it tends to be repeated so often that it is believed as fact by some in the UFO community.

That is not the case with the book "Shoot Them Down" by Frank C Feschino. He has done his homework, and meticulously at that. ...

My Review of "The Orion Mystery" by Robert Blauval and Adrian Gilbert

This book is about the relationship the constellation Orion has with the Pyramids of Giza. Mr Blauval and Mr Gilbert have written a fascinating book on the pyramids and what they were possibly used for. The Egyptology view has been the pyramids were built as resting chambers for the pharaohs of Egypt and nothing else. Mr Blauval has always had an interest in the Pyramids, and was originally from the area. He has an idea that the pyramids are aligned with Orion's Belt, and sets out to do the math ...
