Just viewed a trailer for a new film to be out in August 09 called "District 9". Look it up on IMDB. The trailer features a Giant ship and insectoid entities, edgy imagry and looks like a good 'ole invasion story. Let's hope it's as much fun as it looks.

UFO - The Movie

I enjoyed the TV Series way-back when... art imitated life or vice-versa.

"Like the Gerry Anderson series, the film will revolve around Shado (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization), a secret military operation hidden beneath a Hollywood studio, whose operatives battle an alien race that has been kidnapping and killing humans for decades and using the body parts."

I hope it works out for production. A Variety blurb.

Cheers,

Best Theatrical Movie: Close Encounters of the Third Kind

CE3K is my favorite theatrical release about aliens and alien contact ever released. I have recently re-watched it, and was surprised at how relevant and how well it holds up today.

The movie is quite emotional, from Barry being kidnapped to the final contact at the end of the movie. The questions of why this is happening to me resonate so true to those who have had such experiences. At least the movie gives some answers, but leaves many of the questions open for the audience to decide ...

Best TV Movie: The UFO Incident

The best TV movie is still the untouchable "The UFO Incident" starring James Earl Jones and Estelle Parsons as Barney and Betty Hill. The outstanding actors do a wonderful job of conveying both the fear of Barney and wonder of Betty during the abduction encounter. The movie is simple, but the complex emotions of what happened are still felt when watching this movie. This is considered one of the best TV movies ever made, and hopefully it will be available on DVD.

We saw Knowing last night. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I thought it was really good. I don't think anyone should take it too seriously, it was just a movie, but I liked it.

There's a new movie coming out on April 3rd called Alien Trespass, it looks pretty funny. It's sort of a spoof of alien movies from the 50s, like those 'Scary Movies' do to the horror movies. You can see a trailer for it here.
