“Ophiuchus: Last Days of 2012” written by David L. Powell III centers on the title character in her effort to create a measure of chaos for “the righteous.” Incorporating a conception of spiritual faith, the narrative explores relatively complex notions of loyalty, power, and belief. The author’s portrayal also take into account an understanding of certain contemporary political and social conditions to implicitly consider the way the twenty-first century may unfold. With elements of suspense and emotion, this story is designed to capture the imagination as well as enlighten and provoke thought.

I read the story, it was a great read... Extremely entertaining, the fact that it was written as a play made it very realistic, I hope it gets made into a movie... SOON!!!

Hi alienlady... I too have been searching for a forum about this book, turns out its still fairly new. If ever the UFO Hunters endorsed a movie it should be made from this book, it seems like something Bill Birnes would enjoy reading and I know its on Filament Books which one of their creations, so I'm sure they read and loved it as did I. So where do you want to start off talking about the book. I personally liked the "unnoticeable, noticeables" like the play on the number sequences on each page, and the 2:11 in the time of his abduction, also being the verse from Kings 2:11 in which Elijah was supposed to be abducted or carried to the heavens, and it also adds up to the number 13.

Bravo... I read the story atleast 5x with a fine tooth comb trying to figure out all the hidden messages written.

WOW... I never even noticed those things you are mentioning, I just really enjoyed the story, the points hit on feminism and the relevance to the bible. I had know idea of the hidden messages, I'm definately going to look for them tonight. As a woman I appreciate the strong characters in Lilith, Kim, Mom and even Ophiuchus, I think she was misunderstood. Any whoo, if you know of any more secrets you can reveal with out ruining the story please post

An important sign was in one of the illustrations... Notice that the first ship doesn't have lines just lights while all the others have both. Why do you think this is? I know...

Only one review at amazon.com, and it is a one sentence review at that. I put the book on my wish list and have many others that have priority (they have been on the list for quite some time). If I can find a copy at my library, I will check it out and read it. I usually do not look in the fiction section.

You will have to wait a while, as I have a back log of books to read. There is another subject (non-UFO) that I also enjoy and have several books to read on that subject. My birthday is coming up, and my mother usually buys me a book so I will suggest the title to her. (She may have bought a book already as she does shop early some times.)

When I do review the book, expect a couple of paragraphs as I try to get an idea of what the book is about without spoilers.

Edited to add: I just ordered a copy of this book. I will review it in a few weeks when I receive my copy.

The book is supposed to arrive by the end of this week. I will probably read it this weekend (sooner if it gets here quicker). I am more curious about the book since it seems to have a lot of fans here.
